JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Women’s Tennis has been rewarded with a national ranking after seven straight wins.

The Lady Eagles have battled through the SAC schedule thus far, picking up seven straight victories, most notably against previously ranked Coker, who was No. 44 at the time.

Instead, Carson-Newman trades places with the defeated Cobras being named the International Tennis Association’s No. 44 in its latest Division II Women’s Team poll.

The Eagles will have a tall task defending the shiny number next to their name. Their next contest is on Friday, March 29, against No. 22 Wingate, who rose one spot from No. 23 in last week’s poll.

It is the first ranking for the Carson-Newman Women’s Tennis team since it was ranked No. 43 at the end of the 2024 spring season.
