JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – College Sports Communicators honored nine Carson-Newman track and field athletes in the 2025 CSC Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-District Teams.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women’s At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors at-large recipients in four divisions—NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
For the men, Carlos Kouassi, Ian Sayler, Ethan Blaylock, Bryson Burkett and Keaton Gramann earned Academic All-District honors for the Eagles.
Kouassi is a senior jumper for the Eagles from Basel, Switzerland. Kouassi is an exercise science major at C-N.
Sayler is a senior from Knoxville, Tenn. and competed as a distance thrower as well as an exercise science major.
Blaylock is a junior from Knoxville, Tenn. who competes as a sprinter for the Eagles. Blaylock is currently studying Business Marketing at Carson-Newman.
Burkett is a junior distance runner from Catawba, N.C. and is pursuing a degree in Accounting.
Gramann is a sophomore Computer Science major at Carson-Newman and is a sprinter for the Eagles.
On the women’s side, Brooke Taylor, Brooke Visser, Itzy Ayala and Melissa Siler were named CSC Academic All-District.
Taylor is a junior from Knoxville, Tenn. and competes as a jumper for the Eagles. Taylor is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
Visser is a senior jumper for the Eagles Track and Field team.
Ayala is a sophomore distance thrower from Athens, Tenn. and is studying Communication at C-N.
Siler is a senior from New Madison, Ohio and competes as a multis athlete for Carson-Newman.
