2025 Schedule

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. –  Carson-Newman head men’s soccer coach Stephen Lyons released his program’s 2025 schedule featuring nine road games.

It’s a 15-game schedule that is unbalanced for Carson-Newman in 2025. Lyons’ club will make nine road trips compared to just six home games. It would be the fewest home games in a season in the program’s known history. There have been multiple seasons with seven home games over the past 15 years, but none fewer than the scheduled six in 2025.

“Relatively similar slate compared to last year with the exception of Alabama Huntsville,” Lyons said. “So, we know we are going to be facing top competition. We will be tested early on with some long road trips. It will be a really good test for our guys.”

The heavy road schedule starts right away for C-N. A trip to Trevecca Nazarene begins a three-game road stretch to start the year on Sept 4th. Road ventures to Alabama Huntsville and West Alabama follow on Sept 7th and 10th. It’s the first time in nearly two decades that the Eagles will start the year with three consecutive road matches.

“Getting used to that road environment is important,” Lyons said. “If you go into a tournament, you are going to have to get used to playing away from home. Hopefully that is what we can achieve.”

Carson-Newman’s first home game is a conference game versus Catawba on Sept 13. Four days later though, the Eagles embark on another road stretch to end September. The first of playing three road games to end September starts against Auburn Montgomery on Sept 17. C-N’s longest trek of the year is on Sept 20 to Coker, followed by a short turnaround hosting Montevallo just two days later. The first month of the year closes at Newberry.

After playing more than half of its schedule in the first month of the year, that makes for a light start to October and just seven games conference games over the final two months of the regular season. The Eagles will play just three games in the first 15 days of the month, a home game against Emory & Henry and road trips to Mars Hill and Lincoln Memorial.

The Eagles will play three of their final four games of 2025 at home, starting with an Oct. 18 tilt with Lenoir-Rhyne. One week later, C-N will play its final road game against Wingate. The regular season concludes with home dates versus Anderson and Tusculum in early November, the only time C-N will play consecutive home games.

“It’s all about hitting form at the right time,” Lyons said. “Hopefully playing at home (down the stretch) helps us finish conference strong and then heading into the tournament with some good wins behind us.”

All of Carson-Newman home games will be available on the Eagle Sports Network on FloSports with a subscription. Road conference games will also be streamed on FloSports as well.
