Eagles Close Regular Season at Music City Invitational

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman men’s golf wraps up its regular season on Monday and Tuesday, heading to the Music City Invitational at the Hermitage Golf Club in Hickory, Tennessee.

The Eagles are coming off a 15th-place finish in a competitive field at the Tennessee River Rumble. C-N had a pair of top-50 finishes, with Elliot MacGregor placing 23rd after a 77-stroke third round and Nick Daugherty tying for 41st, finishing at 8-over.

It is an unfamiliar course for the Eagles, competing in the Music City Invitational for the first time.

The Eagles are the lone South Atlantic squad in the field, joined by the hosts Trevecca Nazarene and 14 other teams, making for a large field.

The Eagles will send Elliot MacGregor, Nick Daugherty, Stefans Spruzs, Aidan Powter, and Will Bacon.

MacGregor and Daugherty have been two top Eagles for Randy Wylie’s squad throughout the 2025 season. Powter also provides some veteran experience while Spruzs and Bacon make their second appearances of the spring season.

The Eagles will tee off on the final regular season event on Monday at 8 a.m. at the Hermitage Golf Club in Hickory, Tennessee. They will play the first two rounds before the final round on Tuesday.
