ANDERSON, S.C. – Carson-Newman softball earned two more all-region selections on Tuesday, as Hayden Dye (Knoxville, Tenn.) earned another first team nod. Macauley Bailey (Cross Plains, Tenn.) was named to the D2CCA All-Region second team.
Dye ended her Carson-Newman playing career on a high note, holding the team’s second-highest batting average (.428), hitting six home runs, and 44 RBI. The Knoxville native ends her career in the top 20 all-time in multiple categories. She established herself as one of C-N’s all-time top bats, ranking 16th all-time in slugging percentage (.588), tying for 8th in hits (219) and home runs (27), while ranking 11th in career starts (198). Dye’s stellar senior campaign established her as one of the best players in the conference and the Southeast region.
Bailey had a career year, tallying career bests in batting average (.447), hits (67), doubles (13), home runs (18), slugging percentage (.893), and on-base percentage (.506). The junior became the program’s all-time leader on March 1st against Southern Wesleyan with her 36th, and she finishes the 2025 campaign with 48 career home runs. She also became the all-time RBI leader after her third-straight campaign scoring 60 or more. Her single-season batting average ranks 15th all-time in the Carson-Newman softball program history.
The two D2CCA all-region selections bring the Eagles’ total to four postseason recognitions, with Dye and SieAnna Cameron (Alcoa, Tenn.) being selected to the NFCA all-region teams. C-N’s four all-region selections bring the program’s all-time tally to 46.
