Bowling Named CSC Academic All-American

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman junior swimmer Emma Bowling (Montgomery, Ala.) was named to the CSC Academic All-America Team in an announcement on Tuesday morning.

Bowling, a three-year member of the Eagles women’s swimming team, has emerged as one of the top swimmers on the squad. This marks the third time that Bowling has earned the distinction of being a CSC Academic All-American, making her the 15th C-N swimmer to achieve this honor.

Bowling had an outstanding junior campaign, highlighted by a first-place finish against Emory & Henry and gold medals against Milligan and Mars Hill. The most impressive moment of the season came during the Eagles’ meet against #7 Wingate. In a thrilling home competition, Emma Bowling, Olivia Kerr Muir, Megan Corcoran, and Ivanova Martina won first place in a time of 3:29.55, propelling the women’s team to the lead and completing the upset.
