2025 CSC Academic All-District Teams

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Sophomore cross country runner Jenna Pittman (White Pine, Tenn.) has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, the organization announced Monday.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Women’s At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors at-large recipients in four divisions—NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

“Jenna is a very resilient and determined athlete,” said head cross country coach Brent Borden. “She wants to ensure that she gives 100% effort in everything she does. Jenn’s work ethic is evident at practice, as well as in the classroom. Her recent achievements on the track and in the classroom reflect the amount of time she has devoted to bettering herself.”

Pittman is coming off a strong sophomore cross country season, collecting two top-three finishes, including a first-place medal at the Nooga at Night meet in October.

“Jenna had a very strong XC season in 2024,” Borden continued. “She earned All-Conference and All-Region accolades. The success she experienced on the XC course carried over to the track in the spring, where she broke multiple school records and set numerous personal bests.”

Despite her athletic success, Pittman continues to embody the true meaning of a student-athlete.

“Jenna shows up to practice every single day and gives her best,” Borden said. “She takes care of the details during the offseason by putting in consistent mileage and lifting, which adequately prepares her for each season. Jenna is also diligent off the course, balancing her academics, job, and extracurricular activities. It’s very impressive how she manages to achieve high-level success in each of these areas.”

As she enters her junior season, Pittman is expected to step into a leadership role as one of the more seasoned Eagle runners.

“Through all of this, she sets a strong example for her teammates to follow,” Borden stated. “With a large and talented freshman class arriving this fall, her leadership—along with a few other girls—will be extremely valuable to our team’s success. Jenna experienced significant growth and improvement throughout her sophomore year, and I’m excited to see what she can accomplish as an upperclassman.”
